Ashley Bond Peters – a child of God.

Walton County shook, dreams where shattered and hearts were broken Sunday morning, February 10, 2008 at the news of the fatal crash that sent Ashley Bond Peters home to her LORD. Everyone knows that Ashley is rejoicing at the feet of her Savior. It is our selfishness that wishes she was still with us. But as her mother Tammy has said, we can’t be selfish. Everyone that knew Ashley loved her and loved her smile. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love that one so young could impart to her community. According to many reports Ashley’s funeral was one of the largest that Arthur Bowick had experienced in all his years as a funeral director for Walton County. God’s glory has been revealed through this tiny vessel of Ashley. In her death she has been the tool that God has chosen to lead several to Christ. God be praised for the work of this young woman. If you are one of these that has turned to the Lord Christ as your Savior for the first time or are returning to Him, now know that, “he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6. Ashley’s work on earth was done. The Lord she loved and kept in her heart carried her home and welcomed her with opens arms.
I was sitting in Sunday School when Pastor Callaway called Ashley’s father Wade Peters from the class. We all stopped, we knew something was wrong, we paused our lesson to say a silent prayer. Before we resumed our lesson our interim Pastor, Kevin Smith announced to our Sunday School class the news of Ashley’s death. We were not prepared for such news as this. No one can be, we do not know when any of our lives will end. “Moreover, no man knows when his hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so men are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.” Ecclesiastes 9:12. Ashley would have you know her LORD. Go to Him today. He is waiting for you. As Pastor Callaway expressed at Ashley’s funeral, it is true. God is real, His love is real, He desires YOU. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “God is Love” 1 John 4:8
We will miss Ashley Bond Peters, but her witness remains with us and God’s glory is revealed.

A new day !

February 25, 2008
Started out with prayer, asking for the comfort and grace to get through this day and be able to give Him the gorily!
To someone who has went through such heartache
May God be with you. It's been 15 days and seems
like it just happen,
I know that she's with her Lord now and that gives me peace.
The heartache is, that we will never make any more memories
together I will hold on to those we have made dearly

I think this blog is a wonderful idea. It looks great. Tammy - I love you so much. I wish I could take your pain away. I continue to pray for you, Wade & Regis daily. I pray that God will continue to keep you strong.
Over our many walks you have helped me see things clearer. I hope once it warms up we can get back to doing that. Something about the fresh air & the beauty of Spring time gives me hope. I pray that as Spring arives you will begin to develop that hope. Hope that God still has a purpose for you. You are such a stong woman & a light to so many. Especially our children. Anyone who know Mrs. Tammy knows to keep a smile on their face & Jesus in their heart. I love you

As you continue to take this one day at a time, remember all the support you have in all your friends. We are here for you morning, noon & night.

Tammy, You ahev done a beautiful thing here with this blog! You are truly an amazing woman in finding the strength to create a masterpiece. She is a beautiful young lady and of course, my Cody thought she was "HOT", how funny for a 6th grader to crush on Ashley. I pray that God continues to hold you tight in his grip. Know that he is always with you. I love you and pray for you all continually. Ashley Smith

I went to school with Ashley. She was the nicest person you could ever know. I really didn't know her but I took classes with her. I miss her so much now that she is gone. I wish I got to know her better. I cried the day of graduation when they called her name. Love and miss you AP.
